Synopsis of Dong

In 2005, Jia Zhangke accompanied his friend, the painter Liu Xiaodong, to Fengjie, Chongqing, the Three Gorges Reservoir Area that nurtured Chinese civilization, and felt the customs and customs here. In order to reflect the great changes in the Three Gorges resettlement in the past 10 years, Liu Xiaodong specially selected 12 demolition workers as models for his sketches to create the oil painting "Hotbed". He used his naked body to reflect his inner frankness and reality, and felt the concepts and emotions of the people in the Kurdistan Region during his interactions with the models. In 2006, Liu Xiaodong came to Bangkok, Thailand to collect photos. In this hot city, Liu Xiaodong went deep into the women of the Caotai team to understand their living conditions. By playing and rowing with 12 models, Liu Xiaodong captured people's emotions and life experiences in different cultural atmospheres. This film is the work of director Jia Zhangke during the filming of "The Good Man in Three Gorges".
