Synopsis of Under the Shadow

The story takes place during the Iran-Iraq War. Shideh (Narges Rashidi), who is married and has children, is eager to return to university campus to complete her studies. However, historical problems completely shattered her academic dream. Her husband Iraj (Bobby Naderi) is a successful doctor. Iraj recently received a conscription notice, which made Shideh, who was already upset, even more restless. After an unpleasant quarrel, the family of three bid farewell sadly. Their little daughter Dorsa (played by Avin Manshadi) could not sleep peacefully at night. Dorsa heard the scary stories about giant spirits from her friends, which made her anxious and always worried about the horror coming. In the flames of war, the doorstep of the home is getting closer and closer. Death threatens the lonely mother and daughter at all times, and supernatural phenomena also occur one after another in the precarious home...
