Synopsis of The Crush

The eight-year-old boy Odar (Oran Creagh) is obsessed with his second-grade teacher Miss Petty (Olga Wehrly), so he spends all his pocket money to buy a toy ring and propose to the teacher. The teacher treats it as a Interesting gifts accepted. However, one day, Odar found that the teacher had a new ring on her finger because she was about to get married to her fiancé. The dejected Odar began to have a horrifying idea in his mind. Just like all the western cowboy movies he loved, he made an appointment with Miss Petty's fiancé to have a life-or-death showdown after school tomorrow. The latter agreed and began to laugh at this funny boy. , until Odar actually took out a gun from his bag... The film won the Best Short Film Award at the 23rd Foyle Film Festival in Northern Ireland and was nominated for the Best Live Action Short Film at the 83rd Academy Awards.
