# Synopsis of A Real Vermeer

This is an adaptation of a true story from the art world in the 1920s. Based on the "Vermeer Forgery Incident" that shocked the world after World War II, it was adapted for the big screen for the first time by Rudolf van den Berg, the Dutch Film Award Best Director. The plot describes the astonishing real-life life of Dutch artist Hanvan Meegeren. He fell in love with the beautiful wife Yulanka of the famous art critic Bredis, and his paintings were criticized. In order to seek revenge, he began to imitate Vermeer. Unexpectedly, he succeeded in hiding it from his love rival and deceiving the art world. The most exaggerated thing was that it allowed the Nazi Air Marshal Göring to collect it at a high price, which shocked the world. Sure enough, "Vermeer" successfully deceived experts and even sold it to the Nazis at a high price... Meegeren has always been regarded as a talented painter who succeeded the Dutch masters. By chance, he met the actress Youlanka and was deeply fascinated by her, but she was actually the wife of the famous art critic Brady. Meegeren invited her to paint regardless of outside opinions, and his passion and love burst onto the canvas. From then on, he established an enemy that could destroy his career.
