Synopsis of An Affair to Remember

Nickie Ferrante (Cary Grant) is a idle rich man who meets Terry McKay (Deborah Kerr) on a cruise ship. The two chatted happily, and Nickie even took Terry to a rural town to visit his grandma when the boat temporarily docked. Terry discovered Nickie's talent in oil painting. A secret love developed between the two. When the ship arrived at the terminal in New York, the two were about to separate, and agreed to reunite on the top floor of the Empire State Building in New York six months later. Half a year later, Nickie was alone in the Empire State Building from day to night, but there was no sign of Terry and she left disappointed. On the other hand, Terry had a car accident on the way there and could not arrive. Terry, who couldn't walk, didn't want to look for Nickie anymore, but accidentally met Nickie again at a dance half a year later. By this time, Nickie was already a famous painter.
