Synopsis of Bad Guy
This drama was jointly produced by South Korea's SBS TV station and Japan's NHK TV station in 2010, and was adapted from Stendhal's masterpiece "The Red and the Black". Director Lee Hyung-min won the Best Director Award at the 1st Asian Rainbow Awards in 2011 for this play. Twenty years ago, Shen Jianxu (played by Kim Nam-gil) was mistaken as an illegitimate son and adopted by Chairman Hong of the plutocratic family Poseidon Group for a period of time. But later, because she found the so-called real child, she abandoned him on a rainy night. His adoptive parents, who loved him deeply, died in a car accident on the way to take him home. Because of this, he harbored hatred towards the Poseidon Group and always wanted to take revenge. 20 years later, Jianxu traveled among the members of the Poseidon family and started a revenge war that he had planned for a long time. Hidden behind this silent war is his covetous eye for the position of Poseidon Group. Moon Jae-in (played by Han Ga-in) dreams of becoming a noble wife of a chaebol family, so she deliberately approaches Hong Tae-sung (played by Kim Jae-wook), the heir of Poseidon Group. . Her goal of getting married was seen through by Jianxu, but she was inexplicably attracted to Jianxu. Where will the fate of the three people go?
