Japan's evergreen animation "Ms. Conch" is back in live action! The SP Japanese drama "The People of Isonoya ~ Miss Conch 20 Years Later ~" starring Amami Yuki, Nishijima Hidetoshi, Hamada Gaku, Matsuoka Mayu and others will be broadcast on Fuji TV at 20:00 on November 24. This is a project to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Fuji TV and the 50th anniversary of the animation "Ms. Conch". The SP drama is set 20 years after the animation. It tells the story of Miss Conch running around to find the smile of the Isono family when family dinner opportunities have decreased and children are facing a severe social situation. Yuki Amami plays the 44-year-old Miss Conch, Hidetoshi Nishijima plays the husband Fuguda Uzuo who is in the middle management of the company, and Gaku Hamada plays the 31-year-old Katsuo Isono whose dream has been frustrated and is worried about his job as a fashion designer. Wakame Isono is played by Mayu Matsuoka, and Rei Narita plays the son of Miss Conch, the son of Conch who is having trouble finding a job. In addition, the head of the Isono family, Taira Nagaami, is played by Masato Ibu, and Miss Conch's mother, Fune Isono, is played by Yoshie Ichimo. The SP drama is directed by Masayuki Suzuki ("Masked Hotel", "Long Vacation") and written by Tomoko Akutsu.
