Synopsis of Lourdes

An unexpected encounter forced the young Christine (Sylvie Testud) to face the tragic experience of spending the rest of her life in a wheelchair. This huge blow made Christine choose to live in a deserted place. She lived a solitary life on the island. However, after experiencing pain, anger and sinking, Christine cheered up again. She had an ideal that could not be realized, which was to go to the Pyrenees Mountains for a trip. Pilgrimage. I don’t know if God was moved by Christine’s piety and unyieldingness. One day, Christine’s disabled legs actually recovered. This miracle shocked Christine herself, as well as the devout believers who traveled with her. Christine felt that the door to a new world was opening to her.
