Synopsis of Kingpin

Former bowler Roy (Woody Harrelson) was famous in his early years and won the Ohio Bowling Championship in 1979. But his glory took a turn for the worse. In an important competition, he was framed by his opponent Ernie (Bill Murray) and lost his precious right hand. For the next seventeen years, he could only make a living by wearing a prosthetic hand and running a bowling equipment business. By chance, Roy met the Amish Ashmere (played by Randy Quaid). Roy was delighted by the bowling talent contained in this shy big boy. He decided to train Ashmere into a first-class bowler and participate in the annual championship game to avenge himself...
