Synopsis of The Lodger

A new tenant (Ivor Novello) is suspected by the landlady (Mary Alter) and her husband (Arthur Chesney) of being a notorious "serial killer", but they His daughter Daisy Bunting (played by Joan Tripp), who was a fashion model, was deeply attracted to him. Daisy's boyfriend, detective Joe Bates (Malcolm Keane), became jealous and obtained a search warrant at the instigation of the landlady to break into his room. Police then found a handgun and a map showing the locations of previous killings, as well as a photo of the first victim. The tenant argued that the girl was her sister and that he was just looking for the murderer, but the police arrested him anyway. With Daisy's help, he escapes, but is cornered when he is discovered in handcuffs at a bar.
