Synopsis of Pale Flower
"Dried Flowers" is a strong-style "art gangster film" produced at the beginning of the golden age of Renxia movies. It uses strong contrasting black and white photography and Toru Takemitsu's weird soundtrack to lead the audience to sleepwalk into the "Benevolence" underground world originally written by Shintaro Ishihara. As a member of the Shochiku New Wave, Masahiro Shinoda voluntarily left the studio and embarked on the path of independent production. The interesting part of Shinoda's "Dried Flowers" may be seeing how Ikebe Ryo, who was originally a literary student, began to transform into a "Ren Xia".
