Synopsis of First Men in the Moon

This 1964 classic fantasy film is adapted from the work of writer H.G. Well, bringing his imaginary lunar exploration to life on the big screen. The film describes that in 1964, a space team of top astronauts landed on the moon. They were convinced that they were the first pioneers to land on the moon, and the whole world rejoiced. But soon the cheers turned to surprise when the astronauts discovered a tattered Union Jack and a document stating that the moon had been conquered by Queen Victoria! This incident shocked all scientists on the earth. Just as everyone was confused, an old man in his 90s, Arno (played by Edward Judd), came forward to explain everything... In 1899, Arno happened to meet an eccentric scientist. Joseph, he invented a paste that can resist gravity and built a self-made spaceship, so he persuaded Arnold to take his girlfriend Catherine (Martha Hale), and the three of them went to the moon together. When they successfully set foot on the surface of the moon, they encountered terrifying alien residents. These ant-like and bee-like residents were composed of queens, soldiers and servants.
