Synopsis of Sleep Dealer

Manmo (played by Luis Fernando Peña) lives with his parents in the Mexican town of Santa Ana, and makes a living by farming. The Del Rio Water Company built dams in nearby rivers to block water, causing severe water shortages in the entire region. High water prices have led desperate farmers to steal water from dams. The headquarters of Del Rio Water Company in the United States hired pilot Rudy (Jacob Vargas) to remotely operate an unmanned bomber through a mental connection to attack "terrorists" to protect the dam, and blew up Manmo's residence. Manmo's father was killed on the spot. The sad Manmo left his hometown and came to the US-Mexico border city of Tijuana to find a job, where he met the female writer Luz (played by Lennor Varela). Lutz helped Manmo install the "node", and from then on Manmo entered the factory through a mental connection to remotely control robots across the United States to engage in heavy physical labor. In order to continue selling Manmo's story, Luz gradually deepened his contact with him, and the two finally fell in love. But the person on the other side of the internet who bought Manmo's story was Rudy...
