Synopsis of Gimme Danger

The Stooges originated in Ann Arbor, Michigan during the counterculture movement. Their powerful and aggressive rock music dropped like a bomb on the music industry in the late 1960s. They bombarded audiences with a fusion of rock, blues, R&B and free jazz, paving the way for the emergence of punk and alternative rock in the following decades. Jim Jarmusch's new film Gimme Danger chronicles the Stooges, one of the greatest rock bands in history. "Gimme Danger" presents the general environment when the Stooges appeared, including music, culture, politics, history and other aspects. The film also recounts their adventures and misadventures, chronicling their inspirations and the motivations behind their initial business challenges, and of course, their lasting impact on future generations.
