Synopsis of Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil
In the mid-19th century, a remote place in the Basque region of Spain. The well-dressed Alfred Ortiz (Ramón Agirre) came to a local town. He claimed to work for the provincial government. The purpose of his trip was to find Percy, the first blacksmith nicknamed "The Hammer". Francisco (Kandido Uranga) understands things. It was learned from the locals that Hammer had a bad temper and was difficult to get along with. The blacksmith shop where he worked was in ruins. Rumor has it that the blacksmith was even regarded as a devil. It didn't take long for the men in the town to figure out Ortiz's true intentions. It turned out that after the Spanish bourgeois revolution a few years ago, it was rumored that Carlos' gold was hidden in the blacksmith shop. The greedy townspeople and Ortiz went to the blacksmith shop, but they didn't know that this was the terrifying place where hell and demons were infested... The film is adapted from a Spanish folktale.
