Synopsis of The Krays

Twin brothers Ronny Clay and Reggie Clay were raised by their strong-willed mother Violet and two aunts after their birth. The two brothers lived among women since they were young, and developed a reverence for women. In the 1950s, the grown-up Kray brothers became ruthless and fond of violence. The Krays took over a failing billiard room in London and turned it into a nightclub. Reggie fell in love with the young girl Frances and married her. This aroused Ronny's jealousy. He interrupts Reggie and Frances' honeymoon with bad news about their aunt Rose. In the 1960s, the Kray brothers gained support from the American underworld gangs and expanded their kingdom by annexing the territory of their rival Maltese gangs. At this time, Frances was under heavy pressure from the surrounding underworld and could not get along with her mother-in-law. She became increasingly neurotic, depressed, and finally committed suicide. This hit Reggie hard, and he suffered from depression and a nervous breakdown. To help his brother out of despair, the two brothers attack their enemy.
