Synopsis of Marjorie Prime

The film is adapted from the 2014 Pulitzer Prize-nominated play of the same name. It tells the story of an 86-year-old heroine played by Lois Smith who is dying and her memory is getting weaker day by day. One day, a handsome man who looked very much like her late husband came to her and helped her slowly recall bits and pieces of the past by telling stories. In fact, this man was her husband, but he "returned to the world" through magical technological means. With the help of the same means, her daughter, son-in-law and other relatives and friends also came to "meet" her. The film won the Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival and moved countless audiences. When the people we love are far away from us, only the memories of our lives together are left.
