Synopsis of Running With Scissors

6-year-old Augustine (Joseph Cross) is a precocious child. In his childish eyes, his supposedly happy family has long since fallen apart. As Augustine's mother, Deirred (Annette Bening) did not put her son's needs first. In her eyes, her identity as a poet and her status in the poetry world were the most important. But in fact, no one has even heard of the name "Poet" Deirdre. His wife is nagging all day long, and Norman (Alec Baldwin), who has nothing to do, chooses to ignore her. Frustrated, he can only seek comfort from alcohol. The arrival of psychiatrist Finch (Brian Cox) pushed the family's problems to a new level. He was originally intended to repair family rifts, but he became the culprit leading to divorce. What made Augustine even more headache was that his mother actually entrusted herself to this crazy Mongolian doctor.
