Synopsis of Dororo

It was the Warring States Period. Jingguang, the Lord of Daigo, made a wish to the 12 ghost and god statues in the lobby of a certain temple for the prosperity of the territory. The descendant of Jingguang who was born in exchange had defects in every part of his body, and was regarded as an unlucky child and abandoned into the river. Time passed, ghosts and gods fulfilled their agreement with Jingguang, and the country ushered in peace. One day, a young thief named "Dororo" met a man. Is that a ghost or a human? "Hyakkimaru", a man with swords on both arms and an artificial body, stares at the incoming demon with his lightless eyes.
