Synopsis of Fidelio, Alice's Odyssey
The French title of the film, Fidelio, l'odyssée ed'Alice, refers to three classics, all three of which have strong female characters: (1) Beethoven's opera "Fidelio" (1814) about emotional perseverance; (2) ) The wife in Homer's epic "The Odyssey" patiently waits for the return of her husband after ten years at sea; (3) "Alice in Wonderland" is about female fantasy and exploration. "Alice in Love" is exactly the opposite of "The Odyssey". Alice, a thirty-year-old mechanic, sails on the "Fidelio". Her Norwegian boyfriend Felix waits patiently for her return. Unexpectedly, the captain is Alice's old lover Gael . Alice discovers the work/desire diary left behind by a former mechanic and bravely explores her erotic desires with her male colleagues while also trying to keep the old freighter sailing safely. Facing the boundless sea of love and eager desires, how many times can a person have true love in his life?
