Synopsis of Detainment
The film tells the story of a child homicide that actually occurred in Liverpool, England, in February 1993. James Bulger, who was two years old at the time, died unexpectedly. When he was found, his body was mutilated and had multiple injuries after being run over by a train. The convicted murderers were two eleven-year-old boys, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables, who are believed to have kidnapped, tortured and killed Berg. They are also the youngest convicted murderers in modern British history.
