Synopsis of The Panic in Needle Park

The story takes place in the bustling city of New York. The rich in suits and ties attend a grand banquet with glasses of wine, while the poor are immersed in the dark shadows in a short-lived paradise created by alcohol and drugs. The unfortunate past made Helen (Kitty Winn) full of pain and confusion. She wanted to escape from the painful life, but she could never find the right way. By chance, Helen met a young gangster named Bobby (Al Pacino), who was also a prostitute in the world, and the two people in similar situations gradually came together. As time passed, Helen discovered that Bobby was actually a hopeless drug addict, and Helen fell. The sea of drugs knows no bounds, and Helen's need for drugs becomes stronger and stronger. Unable to control herself, she even chooses to sell her body in exchange for drug money. Bobby, who knows all this, falls into deep pain.
