Synopsis of Ultra Q

This work is a science fiction TV series inspired by two American TV series "THE OUTER LIMITS" and "The Twilight Zone". It describes the story of Atsushi Manjo Mejun (pilot), Ippei Togawa (assistant) and Jiang Togawa Yuriko (News Photographer) Every time the three of them encounter incredible events, most of them are related to monsters. This film was broadcast from January 2 to July 3, 1966 (Showa 41). The sponsor of the broadcast at that time was Takeda Pharmaceutical Ultra Q. It was originally based on the theme of "imbalance" and began filming in September 1964. The title Ultra Q was named after the merging of the buzzword at the time "ULTRA-C" (a word indicating the difficulty of gymnastics movements) and the first letter "Q" of the English word "question". The selling point was that Mr. Eiji Tsuburaya was the tokusatsu technical supervisor. At the beginning, it was based on the domestic True Strange Events TV series with the theme of imbalance.
