Synopsis of The Promise of Chang'an

The granddaughter of Lord Yong Lin, Helan Mingyu, was smart since she was a child. Unexpectedly, she met the ninth princes of Zhou and Xiao Chengxu with the same temperament and their love was growing between them. The news that Xiao Chengxu "died" in battle was misinformed. In order to save Chengxu's younger brother Xiao Chengxuan, Mingyu was forced to marry Chengxu's third brother, Shengzhou King Xiao Chengrui, and was trapped in the harem. Unexpectedly, Chengxu eventually died in the battle, and Qiyuan also had a lifelong love affair, and died of illness along with his beloved concubine Dong Ruoxuan.
