The Grand Canyon is located in the middle reaches of the Colorado River in northwest Arizona and in the southwest of the Colorado Plateau. It is one of the most magnificent scenery on earth. It is surrounded by deep valleys and is divided into two parts: the south wall and the north wall. The water surface at the bottom of the valley is less than 1,000 meters wide. In summer, melted ice and snow pour down the water, and the water depth increases to 18 meters. Most of the rocks are red. From the bottom of the valley to the top, a series of rock series from the Precambrian to the Cenozoic are exposed along the wall.
