Synopsis of Merlin and the Book of Beasts
The legend about Merlin: Merlin, as King Arthur's advisor, magician and prophet, is probably the most famous magician in history. He appears in many of our favorite British legends. He can use his magic to win battles, and he can also transform himself into a hunting dog or a stag. (Haha~ I guess fans of the professor will be depressed, why did they become Xiaotian and James?) He can foresee the future and control people's destiny. Although Merlin and his life are legendary stories, there really was such a person in history. He was the Welsh poet Maidrien who lived in the 6th century AD. The poet went mad during the war and fled to the forests of Scotland, where he predicted the future. Later, the historian Geoffrey of Monmouthshire in England changed Medrine's name to Merlin and described him as a character in the British folk tale "History of the Kings of England". This work, written in 1136, describes the origins of England. (Sweat~ I would rather believe that he is a wizard, not a mentally abnormal person |||) Over the centuries, Merlin’s story has been continuously amplified and rewritten by other writers. The most famous one is Thomas Marth, the author of "Le Morte d'Arthur" in the 15th century...
