Synopsis of ATL

In the slums in southern Atlanta, 17-year-old black Rashad (played by Tip Harris) and his 14-year-old brother Ant (played by Evan Ross Naess) live. Like many black children, Rashad is passionate about roller skating and HIP-HOP music. His youth seems to be carefree. However, the reality is very cruel. Both of his parents have died. He has taken care of his younger brother and earned enough for him. The burden of tuition fell on Rashad. However, Ant is willful and unruly, which makes Rashad's situation even worse. The appearance of the girl Niu Niu (played by Lauren London) made Rashad fall in love. However, the girl’s life experience has an unknown secret-her father is the local wealthy businessman John (Keith David) played by Keith David). Although John was born in poverty, he forbade his daughter to associate with the poor after he became rich, which forced Niu Niu to conceal her identity every time they went on a date. When Rashad learned this secret, he felt extremely disappointed. Whether it was love or family affection, he felt powerless.
