Synopsis of Our Shining Days

Chen Jing is an eccentric girl majoring in folk music and dulcimer at the High School Affiliated to the Conservatory of Music. Because she likes piano, she decides to work as a piano translator for Wang Wen, a senior at the same school. However, she is rejected by Wang because of her lack of knowledge of Western music and her background in folk music. Wen's neglect also caused friction between the two majors on campus. In order to prove his ability and to prove that folk music can be on a more powerful stage, Chen Jing teamed up with the girls from dormitory 502 to form a folk band to perform his own voice. Chen Jing's cousin Chen Hexu is a teacher at the High School Affiliated to the Conservatory of Music. When there was a gap between students in the two majors, she helped the students resolve their prejudices and misunderstandings, and silently gave Chen Jing encouragement and help. Outside of school, Chen Hexu met actor Feng Anyu by accident. Chen Hexu's true attitude towards himself gave Feng Anyu the courage to re-examine his life, and he helped Chen Jing many times during the process of forming a band. The students gradually grew up with the help of Chen Hexu and many other teachers. Students of Western music and folk music broke their stereotypes and got along peacefully. Chen Jing finally proved the charm of folk music, climbed onto a larger music stage, and gained a beautiful youth.
