# Synopsis of The Bare-Footed Kid

A certain year in the Qing Dynasty. The barefoot boy Guan Fengyao (played by Aaron Kwok) goes to the provincial capital alone to make a living. He is impoverished and can only rely on his own skills and his father's old friend Duan Qingyun (played by Ti Lung) in the dyeing shop "Four Seasons Weaving". The situation in the provincial capital is quite unstable. Kahebu (played by Zeng Jiang), the owner of Tianlongfang, dominates the party as a bannerman, and the arena used to select servants and thugs is bustling. The new county magistrate Yuan Tianyou (played by Zhang Zhaohui) and the teacher (played by Qin Pei) want to eradicate Kahebu, but their foundation is unstable and there is nothing they can do. Guan Fengyao happened to meet Bai Xiaojun (Maggie Cheung), the mistress of Four Seasons Weaver, and Xiaolian (Qianlian Wu), the daughter of Master Yuan, on the road, and finally met Duan Qingyun. It turned out that Duan Qingyun changed his name and hid in the dyehouse to avoid pursuit, and developed a love for Bai Xiaojun. Kahebu frequently made treacherous plans to annex the Four Seasons.
