# Synopsis of Dyeingfang

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, there was an air of desolation. Chen Liuzi, a 15-year-old boy whose parents died early and had no home, lives on the streets, begging for food to survive. But the Sixth Son of the Emperor was smart, witty and flexible. He listened to books and learned about the outside world from time to time. One winter, Liu Zi was taken care of by the hotel clerk, Uncle Suo Zi, which made Liu Zi grateful for the rest of his life. Liuzi, who was too cold to do anything, fell in front of Zhoucuntong and Dyefang. Shopkeeper Zhou, who came out to clear the snow in the morning, rescued Liuzi and named him Chen Shouting (played by Hou Yong) as his adopted son. In this way, Chen Shouting began his life in Tonghe Dyeing House. Time flies. In ten years, Shouting, through his diligence and resourcefulness, mastered all the techniques and matters of the dyeing workshop, and turned Tonghe Dyeing Workshop into the largest dyeing workshop in Zhoucun, attracting the covetousness of the tycoon dyeing workshop owners. He wanted to lure Shouting over through bribery, but Shouting was determined and even the bandits who kidnapped him admired him. In this way, everyone in Zhoucun knew about Chen Shouting. The owner of the wealthy Lu family takes a fancy to Shouting and wants him to go to Qingdao to assist his son Lu Jiaju (played by Luo Gang) who returned from Germany to learn printing and dyeing. Shouting thus embarked on the road of industrial printing and dyeing and entrepreneurship...
