Synopsis of Simon Birch

In the eyes of everyone, Simon (Ian Michael Smith) is a miracle. The newborn who was only as big as a fist was immediately sentenced to death by the doctor. But holding this death notice, Simon miraculously grew from a baby waiting to be fed to a 12 year old boy. Although Simon's short stature is often discriminated against and ridiculed by his peers, he still retains a kind and sincere heart. As Simon's good friend, Joe (Joseph Mazzello) has a trouble that has been bothering him. Growing up in a single-parent family, he is very eager to know the whereabouts of his father. A terrible accident caused Joe to lose his mother forever, and the instigator of the whole thing turned out to be Simon. With guilt for Joe, Simon decided to take Joe on a journey to find his father. At the same time, Simon's strong and fragile life gradually came to an end.
