Synopsis of Spring Fever

Wang Ping (played by Wu Wei), who runs a small bookstore in Nanjing, has an affair with a gay man Jiang Cheng (played by Qin Hao) behind the back of his wife Lin Xue (played by Jiang Jiaqi). Lin Xue, who was suspicious of her husband's behavior, commissioned Luo Haitao (Chen Sicheng) to follow Wang Ping and discovered Jiang Cheng's whereabouts. An angry Lin Xue went to the tourism company where Jiang Cheng worked to cause a scene, forcing him to break up with Wang Ping. Luo Haitao has a girlfriend Li Jing (played by Tan Zhuo) who works in a garment factory, but he develops a crush on Jiang Cheng while following her. Luo Haitao dated Jiang Cheng, who was depressed after the breakup, and their relationship became increasingly close, but at the same time, he couldn't let go of Li Jing. During the three people's trip together, Li Jing discovered the ambiguous relationship between Luo Haitao and Jiang Cheng, and she cried sadly. A city, many people, are all going ruggedly on the road of love. The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 62nd Cannes Film Festival in 2009 and won the Best Screenplay Award.
