Synopsis of AJ and the Queen

RuPaul plays Ruby, a drag queen with great personality but down on her luck. To recoup her recently stolen savings, she travels from club to club in America in a beat-up 1990s van. She is traveling with AJ, a 10-year-old white girl who is a stowaway with a strong voice and a bad temper who has just become an orphan. These two unsociable figures, one tall and one short, traveled between cities. The love and tolerance of the gems finally touched people and added a little bit of happiness to their lives. This funny, unique series explores the meaning of family, friendship, love and loss. Gems and AJ travel across the United States in search of a little happiness and the best breakfast waffles, helping each other get over the sad past, face the challenges ahead, and look forward to a new future. RuPaul has appeared in "The Desert Lady" and "A Date with an Angel." Oh, and RuPaul will be performing a stunning musical performance at every drag bar.
