Synopsis of The Hidden Fortress

During the Warring States Period, the Akizuki family was defeated and in decline. The brave general (played by Toshiro Mifune) led the princess Yukihime (played by Misa Uehara) to escape to a deserted land, trying to cross the enemy lines and carry gold to the allies. By chance, they meet poor people A (Mizu Chiaki) and poor people B (Kaazu Fujiwara) who are greedy for money. The two make jokes and jokes constantly. Under the general's coercion and inducement, the two also embark on the important task of protecting the princess. However, the enemy general is in hot pursuit. In times of crisis, both the princess and the general will face life and death decisions. The film was George Lucas's main inspiration for creating "Star Wars" and has been recognized as one of Kurosawa's most outstanding works since its release.
