Synopsis of A Thousand Acres

Larry Cook, a stubborn old man with a grumpy temper, has worked hard all his life to manage his Iowa estate, which has a history of more than a hundred years and covers an area of 1,000 acres. He is the king of this fertile land and has supreme rights. Although Larry is a respected elder, his family is a trap hidden in crisis. He has three daughters: Rose, Ginny and Caroline, but no sons. He has long been troubled by who will inherit the inheritance and develop his family business.
