Synopsis of Butterfly Sleep

54-year-old Ryoko (played by Miho Nakayama) is a novelist. One day, she was suddenly diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease by a doctor. Faced with the terrible disease, Ryoko decided to use the little time she had left to complete her novel. The last novel in my life. In addition to writing novels, Ryoko worked as a lecturer at the university. After class, Ryoko and her students came to an izakaya for a gathering, where they met a Korean international student named Changhae (played by Kim Jae-wook). Changhai's conversation and outlook were different from those of his peers, which deeply attracted Ryoko and made her want to understand what was going on in this boy's head. Ryoko couldn't move her hands, so she asked Masami to be her hands and help her write. In the process, sincere feelings developed between the two.
