Synopsis of Cunningham
Merce Cunningham is one of the greatest modern dance choreographers of the 20th century. He founded the Cunningham Dance Company in 1953 and used experimental choreography to subvert the fixed framework of dance again and again. He breaks the threshold of high art and popular culture, and also breaks through the barriers of different art categories.
