Synopsis of Split Second

In London in 2008, due to rising sea levels, the streets were flooded with sea water at high tide, and there were piles of rubbish everywhere and rats running rampant. Detective Stone (Rutger Hauer) was suspended from his job because of his crazy handling of cases and disobedience to his superiors' discipline. However, several unsolved serial murders many years ago forced Stone to still pursue private investigation during his suspension. One day, Stone, who was investigating a case in a nightclub, encountered another murder. The murdered woman had her chest cut open and her heart taken away. Her death was horrific. The exact same crime method convinced Stone that the murderer was the same person. Not long after, the police station actually received the victim's heart that had been bitten into half from the murderer. From the tooth mold obtained from the tooth marks on the heart, it showed that the murderer was definitely not human. As similar murders continue to occur, Stone's ex-girlfriend is also attacked. Stone and his new partner, a rookie who is proficient in astrology and occult science, must race against time to catch and eliminate the next corpse before it appears.
