Synopsis of Boss's happiness
Fu Jixiang (played by Fan Wei) who lives in Shuncheng, Northeast China, is a local foot massager. He is honest and optimistic, and is called Boss Fu by his friends. No one would have thought that such a person who was always smiling would have had a difficult childhood. His parents died one after another when he was a child. Boss Fu raised his three younger brothers and one younger sister by himself, and sent them all to Beijing to live a happy life. And he suffered a series of life setbacks including failed marriage, infertility, and being laid off. One day, Boss Fu met the autistic boy Lele (played by Wu Shiyu) during morning exercises, and then rescued Lele's mother Mei Hao (played by Sun Ning) who was desperate and attempted suicide. These three ordinary individuals come together to form a makeshift family. Soon, Fu's younger siblings returned to their hometown to visit their parents' graves. They did not want their elder brother to continue such a "failed" life, so they urged him to come to Beijing. Unable to bear the instigation of his younger brothers and sisters, Mr. Fu went to Beijing to live temporarily, but found that his younger brothers and sisters, who lived a good life, had their own troubles...
