Synopsis of Strange

"Strange" contains three stories, all adapted from Japanese folklore. "The Ghost Stories of Yotsuya": Kabuki dramatist Tsuruya Nanboku IV created "The Ghost Stories of Yotsuya" based on folk ghost stories. It tells the story of a ronin named Mingu Iemon who abandoned his wife Aiwa and married the young and beautiful Mei of the Ito family. After taking the poison sent by the Ito family, Aiwa was disfigured and died tragically. Aiwa, who turned into a wraith, set a curse that cut off the descendants of the Mintani family and the Ito family for generations. "Tenshu Monogatari": In the foggy White Heron Castle, there lives a group of immortal gods of oblivion. Princess Tomi is the master of the castle tower. The hawksmith Shunosuke met Tomi Ji on the way to pursue an escaped eagle, and the two fell in love at first sight. The eagle raised by Shunosuke himself turned out to be Fuki's mother. She once fell in love with a human, but after being abandoned, she turned into an eagle, and her descendants became the gods of forgetfulness. The God of Forgetfulness will lose his immortality once he falls in love with a human being. Fuki drives away Shunosuke under the obstruction of her grandmother. However, humans launched an attack on Bailu City... "Cat Transformation": A strange medicine seller came to a wealthy family to sell medicine, and learned that the bride of this family had an intention before getting married...
