Synopsis of House of Wax
Professor Gerold Henry (Vincent Price) is a sculptor who is obsessed with art. Each of his wax sculptures are lifelike. He has been concentrating on studying famous figures in history, especially Marie Antoinette, the queen of French King Louis XVI. However, his business partner Matthew Burke (Roy Roberts) was very dissatisfied with the poor income from Jerrod's operation of the wax museum. In order to collect the money faster, the frantic Matthew burned the entire wax museum, including all the wax sculptures that Jerrod regarded as treasures. After the fire, Jerrod was buried in the flames and disappeared mysteriously, while Matthew got a large amount of insurance money as he wished. Eighteen months later, Jerrod was miraculously "resurrected". Not only that, Jerrod also held a new art exhibition, a gruesome and bloody exhibition with the theme of death and violence. Sue Ellen (Phyllis Kirk) is an ordinary beautiful girl who has just become Jarrod's new assistant. But after her friend was killed mysteriously, Su's life began to become dangerous and uneasy. ...
