Synopsis of American Honey

Star (Sasha Lane) lives a life of dependence with her younger sister and her alcoholic father. The two sisters make a living by picking up leftover food from others in the garbage dump. Not only that, Star also bears the pressure from her father. Violation and obscenity, the spirit gradually becomes desperate in the depression. One day, Star accidentally met a man named Jack (Shia LaBeouf). Jack is the leader of a magazine promotion team. At Jack's invitation, Star finally made up his mind to board the magazine. He boarded a van bound for freedom and completely left his absurd family of origin. In this way, Star became a magazine salesman, under Jack's guidance. In the process, hot feelings developed between Jack and Star. However, Jack has always maintained a physical relationship with their immediate boss, Christa (Riley Keough). This love affair, destined to be shady, made Star feel a different kind of bitterness and throbbing.
