Synopsis of Welcome to Marwen

"Marvinco" is adapted from the 2010 documentary of the same name, telling the true story of Mark Hogancamp. After being violently beaten by five teenagers, this man fell into a coma for nine days. When he woke up, he lost his memory. He could not remember anything about his life, friends or family. As a special therapeutic method, Mark Hogancamp began to create a Belgian town during World War II with 1:6 model dolls in his backyard. He called it "Marwencol" (Marwencol), and he used dolls to represent Himself, his friends and those who beat him. "Marvin Cole" mended Mark Hogancamp's mind to a certain extent, and also allowed him to create a fantasy world. And this world can be seen by more people through Jeff Malmberg's documentary released in 2010.
