Synopsis of Kate & Leopold

Liebert (played by Hugh Jackman) is a down-and-out aristocratic Duke in the 19th century. At a blind date party arranged for him by his family, he accidentally broke into the time and space tunnel and came to more than 100 years ago in order to track down a stranger, the mad scientist Stuart. In the later 21st century, Stewart's unexpected hospitalization made it difficult for the Duke to face an unfamiliar environment. By chance, he meets Stewart's ex-girlfriend Kate (played by Meg Ryan), an ambitious, independent and smart advertising woman. A series of events attract the two to each other, composing a story that spans time and space. Romantic love song...... However, the emotions that travel through time and space are not destined to be smooth sailing. In order to adapt to the development of history, Stewart, who was discharged from the hospital, had to send Liebert back to his time. The romance between Liebert and Kate, who had just begun, faced the crisis of separation in time and space. Are the two destined to meet each other or did they meet in an instant? Can the two of them be together across the barriers of time and space?
