Synopsis of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

The Clone War has been going on for three years, and the Republic is about to win. General Gelfit and Count Dooku (Christopher Lee), who have split the alliance, kidnap the Prime Minister of Parliament Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) and abscond. Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Ewan McGregor) and Anakin (played by Hayden Christensen) were ordered by the Elders to go to the rescue, and Anakin killed Dooku. The Count rescues Palpatine, but General Gelfit escapes. Anakin dreamed that his wife Amidala (Natalie Portman) would die in childbirth, and in confusion he turned to Palpatine, who took this opportunity to drive a wedge between Anakin and the Jedi Elders. As Anakin draws closer to Palpatine, a conspiracy slowly unfolds against the Jedi and the democracy they defend. The film was nominated for the 78th Academy Award for Best Makeup in 2006, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Original Music for Film, Television and Other Visual Media.
