Synopsis of Rise

Asian female reporter Sadie Blake (played by Lucy Liu) is an extremely dedicated newspaper reporter. By chance, a piece of news about a cult organization attracted her attention. At the same time, several kidnapping cases of young girls occurred in Los Angeles, and eventually the girls were abandoned on the streets. Sensitive Sadie intuitively believed that the kidnapping case was related to the cult. She used the kidnapping case in Koreatown as an entry point to explore the truth behind it, but was accidentally caught by the cult members and lost her life. When Sadie woke up from the morgue again, she was surprised that she had come back from the dead, but soon she discovered that she had become a bloodthirsty vampire. Struggling between nature and humanity, Sadie decided to destroy the cult and avenge all the victims...
