Synopsis of The Shannara Chronicles Season 1

In December 2014, MTV booked the show for the entire season. This is the most ambitious new project since MTV entered the field of scripted programs. The story is adapted from the series of fantasy novels "The Sword of Shannara" written by Terry Brooks. Al Gough and Miles Millar, the creators of "Smallville", will write the script of the play. Jonathan Liebesman, the director of the movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", will serve as the director of the first two episodes. The three of them will also serve as executive producers. Terry Brooks himself also serves as executive producer. Jon Favreau was originally supposed to direct the first episode, but was unable to do so due to scheduling conflicts. He will retain his identity as executive producer. In the history of fantasy literature, "The Sword of Shannara", published since 1977, is a masterpiece along with "The Lord of the Rings", "Tales of Earthsea", "The Dark Tower", "Dragonlance", "The Sword of Truth" and other masterpieces.
