Synopsis of Twixt

The film's story is inspired by the poetry of Allen Poe (who also appears in the film, played by Ben Chaplin). With narration by Tom Waits, the outdated novel writer played by Val Kilmer is brought to a strange town in California. Then he was involved in a mysterious murder. In his dream at night, he is approached by a young female ghost named V (Elle Fanning). The novelist is unsure whether the murder was related to the young woman, but is grateful that the incident provided him with story material. In the end, he found the truth of the story and was surprised to find that the ending affected his life beyond his imagination. "Between Now and Sunrise" is Coppola's first self-funded film, with a cost of only $7 million. Perhaps this explains why the film has such a texture. In addition, the film will be converted into 3D in the later stage, which is a bit worrying. I hope Coppola will not be burdened by the low cost of the film. The film will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September. The specific release date has not yet been determined.
