Synopsis of The Land of Hope

In 20XX, Japan suffered a severe earthquake. The ensuing tsunami and nuclear leak caused a crisis no less severe than the Great East Japan Earthquake. In a small town in Nagashima Prefecture, Japan, Ono Yasuhiko (played by Isao Natsuyagi), who is engaged in cheese animal husbandry, originally lived with his wife Chieko (played by Naoko Otani), his son Yoichi (played by Murakami Jun), and his daughter-in-law Izumi (played by Megumi Kagurazaka). Live a peaceful and peaceful day. The earthquake brought back memories of the atomic bombings and aroused distrust in the government. Before long, Onoya's neighbors were forced to evacuate because they were within a 20-kilometer radius of the nuclear power plant, while Onoya was left where he was.
