Synopsis of The Land of Hope
In 20XX, Japan suffered a severe earthquake. The ensuing tsunami and nuclear leak caused a crisis no less severe than the Great East Japan Earthquake. In a small town in Nagashima Prefecture, Japan, Ono Yasuhiko (played by Isao Natsuyagi), who is engaged in cheese animal husbandry, originally lived with his wife Chieko (played by Naoko Otani), his son Yoichi (played by Murakami Jun), and his daughter-in-law Izumi (played by Megumi Kagurazaka).
