Synopsis of Slacker

The film begins with a young man (played by Richard Linklater) in a taxi telling the driver about a strange dream he had and the possibility of him taking the taxi, but the driver didn't care. The young man got out of the car and saw a woman lying on the ground in a car accident. He took the woman's handbag. The woman was hit and killed by her son, who was taken away from the home by two police officers. Someone was playing guitar and singing on the street, and in a restaurant three men were discussing Dostoevsky and the great works. When a man's friend disappears, a stranger tells him the secrets of the American moon landing and the real reasons why some people are missing. A young man moved out quietly, and his roommates found many postcards in his room with quotes torn from various books. Two women talk in the street and predict that the next person who passes them will die within two weeks... This is a movie without a specific plot and a specific protagonist.
